This is an LJ specifically for my plot/OCT ramblings. I'm pretty sure you guys were getting tired of seeing all that stuff on my regular one anyway.  You'll find all my new characters, concept sketches of crapness, updates on the OCTs I'm entering, etc etc, here.

Anyway, was going through my hard drive and ran across some old drawings of a character I was fond of when I started college yet haven't drawn since the year I created him.

The tyrant of Gear's family. One of the youngest of the bloodline with functioning powers (the monkey twins are the actual youngest) and shares the horses abilities with his big brother and head of the house hold. While Gear shows many of the positive horse traits Oberon has taken a liking to the more negative ones. Selfish to the extreme he prances about as a self-proclaimed prince, king outside the house, of where ever he may roam.

Also, I gave up on Rise. The more I watch the OCT circuit the less appealing it becomes. Too much drama in my opinion. Not to mention I suck with deadlines and my comic skills aren't that great. Vayu and his crew will be getting their own story-line so they'll still be around.

As of late I've been feeling a little under the weather art wise. With all the awesome artists I've been finding through OCTs I've been feeling so damn inadequate when it comes to my own art and if anything I'm a bitter old soul. So I kind of gave up on drawing the other day after I finished a request someone had left me early in March.

And then I snapped out of it and figured I should just give up on OCTs in general. Then I found a few that made me want to try all over again. XD

I still owe several friends some art work and have come to the conclusion that I'm giving up on getting into the Ebon Spire OCT. It looks like its going to be an awesome OCT but I just can't compete with all those talented artists not to mention it's set in a massive space ship full of Sci-fi goodness (badness for me cause I suck at drawing bots and techy stuff).

That'll give me some time to work on my auditions for two other up-coming OCTs that are a little more friendly toward my style. One deals with aliens but not so much with ships (plot kind of reminds me of Oban without the Star Racers and a bit of a twist) and robots so I might be able to do a little better.

Anyway, that has nothing to do with inspiration... but getting to that. I've developed an interest in Indian fashion and mythology. So my next set of characters will be based some what on Idian/Asian culture and style.

Expect to see some sketches up within the next week or so... as well as the art I owe to others. XD

I really want to get me some Indian style clothing. It's beautiful. :)

I figured Great DJ  by the Ting Tings would serve as a decent opening theme since I really couldn't find a catchy J-pop/J-Rock song to go along with it. But if I did have to choose a Japanese song for it it would probably be a song by MOVE.

Because MOVE is awesome.
